Fish Tales by Williams is one of the hardest games I have ever played and yet I keep coming back for more. Every time I see this game at an arcade I get excited and then almost instantly frustrated because for me, it’s a game I have only ever had a few great games on over the years and stepping up to it I always assume the worst of my abilities with this one.
So what do I love about this Pinball? Just about everything else! It’s one of the few games that I feel really nailed the audio and visual elements as well as the fun, yet challenging game design.
Fish Tales has an awesome video mode where you also get to shoot down water-skiers. This mode like everything else with Fish Tales isn’t easy, but once you get a feel for it you can improve at it.
This is one game I wish I was better at (if you couldn’t already tell from the video review above!) I love the approach to this lighthearted, yet intense pinball machine. The sound on this game is almost second to none, it my mind it’s top 3 in terms of audio. The crazy music suits the mood and subject matter of this table and the artwork works in perfectly presenting a game that’s both very unique, enjoyable and tough!
